Wednesday
-34 is what it felt like early Wednesday morning as temperatures slid back to -25 C to start the day under mostly clear skies as an arctic high-pressure system pushed in.
A wave of clouds slid in during the morning, helping to moderate the mercury into the minus teens with wind chills returning into the mid -20s.
Skies clear back out to return the region to beautiful blue skies and sunshine during the afternoon as conditions continue to warm up to around -14 C for a daytime high.

Wednesday night
The influence of the arctic high-pressure system will continue into the evening as skies remain clear overnight, allowing temperatures to slide back to around -25 once again.
Thursday
-35 is around what it’ll feel like Thursday with wind chill as you’re heading out the door in the morning under sunny skies.
A low-pressure system pushing into Alberta will build in clouds during the day with a chance of flurries during the evening as a breezy southeasterly wind helps warm things up to around -11 C or so.
Friday
As the system slowly pushes east, clouds will continue to filter through to finish the first full week of March on Friday before some late day sunny breaks are likely to filter in.
After starting the day out around -18 C, temperatures should manage to climb back up into minus single digits for an afternoon high.
Weekend outlook
Mild air continues into the weekend as cloud cover with the lingering low sticks around on Saturday with a slight chance of flurries before sunshine returns on Sunday.
Daytime highs should sit around -7 C with overnight lows near -18 and morning wind chills in the mid -20s both days.
