A man accused of murder in Weyburn’s first homicide since 1995 has been granted bail.
Keegan Muxlow, 24, is charged in the death of Nathan Hutt, 18, who was shot during an altercation after he and two others allegedly broke into Muxlow’s home on Jan. 4.
Upon his release, Muxlow must follow a number of conditions that include staying inside his residence 24 hours a day and to avoid contact with specific individuals related to his case.
Weyburn police said Hutt was one of three men who entered the residence in the 300-block of 4th Street NE.
Another man suffered stab wounds, while a third man turned himself into police the next day, according to police.
Police said Dominick Hawkes, 23, and William McLeod, 25, both from Weyburn, are facing charges that include break-and-enter and committing assault.
Three women were later charged, aged 18 to 21, with accessory after the fact and obstructing justice, as well as possessing a weapon without a licence, according to police.
Muxlow’s bail was set at $10,000 and he is due back in court in Weyburn on March 12.
