A Winnipeg man who allegedly pointed a gun at six people over the past month is now behind bars.

Police said the man was found at a home in the 500 block of Magnus Avenue Wednesday morning, where he pulled up his jacket to show officers a firearm just prior to being arrested.

Despite police ordering him not to touch the weapon, they said he laughed and threw the gun – which turned out to be a loaded rifle – in the snow.

Police said the man was involved in an incident at the same Magnus Avenue address earlier in the month, where he forced five people to their knees and pointed the a gun at their heads before fleeing. He’s also suspected of a Jan. 30 incident, also on Magnus Avenue, where a rifle was pulled on a taxi driver.
