A wanted man has been arrested by Hamilton police.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, an officer noticed a red 2013 Ford Fusion travelling in the area of Cannon and East Wellington streets. Police say the car had been previously involved in a suspended driver incident in January.

Police pulled over the car and determined the passenger in the vehicle was wanted on two outstanding warrants related to the earlier investigation.

A 21-year-old Mississauga man was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing Thursday.
