RCMP arrest 1 man in Langley, searching for 2nd suspect in Kamloops murder

One man linked to a murder in B.C.’s Interior was arrested on Tuesday, but police are still searching for a second suspect in the case.

The arrest was made in connection with the Feb. 15 murder of Jason Glover on Tranquille Road in Kamloops.

Police say Glover was shot at a residence and died later in hospital.

According to Kamloops RCMP, Hugh Alexander McIntosh was arrested without incident in Langley on Feb. 26.

Police added that McIntosh and a second suspect, Gordie Braaten, have been charged with murder and attempted murder in the case.

Kamloops RCMP said Braaten is still at large and that all available resources are focused on locating him.

Police believe the homicide was a targeted incident.

Police said that Braaten and McIntosh are from Kamloops. RCMP said that the two are known to be involved in the local drug trade.

Braaten is described as a 35-year-old Caucasian man who is six feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. Police say he has short, brown hair, green eyes and an athletic build.

Police say Braaten is considered armed and dangerous, and officers urge anyone who sees him to contact their local police department or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
