Ontario’s police watchdog, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), has terminated its investigation into the death of a 22-year-old man in Parry Sound.
According to the SIU, on Aug. 29, 2018, police located a man at a residence in Parry Sound in connection with a bank robbery investigation.
The SIU says the man identified himself to officers, but refused to open the door.
The man also told officers he did not want to live, the SIU says.
According to the SIU, when officers gained entry, the man laid down and banged his head on the floor.

On Sept. 7, 2018, the SIU says the man was taken off life support and declared dead.
