Police responded to a call at 1:30 a.m. Sunday about a single vehicle crash on King Street E. at Balmoral Ave S. They say the dark-coloured Honda SUV was traveling westbound when it hit a snowbank on the north side of the roadway, before striking a light pole.
Significant damage was caused to the vehicle, according to police. They say two passengers in the vehicle, as well as the driver, were recovering from near-fatal injuries. However police later upgraded the passengers, a 30-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, to stable.
