Regina police make arrest in city’s first alleged homicide of 2019

The Regina Police Service have made an arrest in Regina’s first alleged homicide of 2019.

Police say Christopher Dillin Braun, 37, of Regina has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Morris Poitras, 27, of Fort Qu’Appelle.

The investigation began after the body of Poitras was found outside a home in the 800 block of Montague Street, in North Central, on Feb. 14.

EMS were called to the scene and confirmed the man was dead, police said, adding that they secured the scene before requesting a coroner.
