Guelph police say a 26-year-old man is facing charges following a bizarre situation at a downtown business on Tuesday night.
Officers were called to Cardigan Street after staff reported that a man could be heard walking around above them in the duct area.
Police said the man was found in the ceiling and that a fire had been lit near him.
When officers looked into the ceiling, the man fell through into the lunchroom of the business.
He was arrested after a brief struggle.
Police said the man was also charged with stealing a vehicle from a business on Eramosa Road earlier in the day.
The suspect was taken to hospital to be treated and is facing a list of charges, including arson and mischief.
