3 children injured after ceiling collapse at Toronto daycare

Toronto police say three children were injured when a piece of a ceiling in a daycare in Toronto’s Roncesvalles neighbourhood collapsed on Monday.

Police said they responded to reports of the ceiling collapse at a daycare in the area of Dundas Street West and Boustead Avenue at around 1 p.m.

Police said three children, a boy and two girls, were treated for minor injuries at the scene and were not transported to hospital.

A city building inspector was notified and came to the scene to assess the damage.

The daycare was evacuated and all parents were notified of the incident.
