Stanley Mission RCMP say a snowmobile two men were riding experienced mechanical problems while in remote northern Saskatchewan.
The overdue snowmobilers were reported missing to police around 11 p.m. CT on Jan. 26.
They were travelling from Stanley Mission to Grandmother’s Bay on one snowmobile when mechanical problems occurred.
The two men, both from Grandmother’s Bay, walked for several hours until they came across a shelter, where they took refuge overnight.
That night, a team of local searchers from the community set off on snowmobiles to search for the missing men.
The snowmobilers were located near Cow Island on Mountain Lake by the local search party at around 11 a.m. on Jan. 27.
RCMP said the men were very cold, but otherwise uninjured.
Stanley Mission is approximately 395 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
