A suspicious package found at Calgary International Airport Sunday was just a harmless backpack left by a passenger, police said Monday.
Police said it was an “innocent mistake” and no charges are pending.
The bomb squad was called in Sunday after a suspicious package was found at the airport around 4 p.m., police said.
The package was from international arrivals, officers said, prompting entrances 13 to 17 to be closed.
The airport was still functional and there were not any evacuations. It said it was aware of the incident and apologized for any disruption.
