TORONTO – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a second woman in the violent murder of George Fawell.
Fawell’s body was found in Jimmie Simpson Park, near Broadview Avenue between Queen Street East and Dundas Street, on Aug. 24, 2012.
On Wednesday, police issued a Canada wide warrant for the arrest of 28-year-old Ashley Andrews.

Andrews is wanted on a charge of accessory after the fact to murder and two counts of attempting to obstruct justice.
Last week, police charged Lori Ann Crook, 39, with first-degree murder and forcible confinement.
Police say Fawell died from multiple stab wounds to the chest and “chopping wounds” to the neck and head.
Homicide detective Sgt. Gary Giroux said in Aug. 2012 that the injuries were some of the worst he had ever seen.
“It was so egregious that I believe Mr. Fawell passed away and the attack on his body continued,” Giroux said.
Police are continuing to investigate.
