Wellington County OPP said they responded to the scene on Highway 6 just north of Kenilworth around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Provincial police said one driver was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as 31-year-old Wade Brodie of West Grey Township.

The other driver, a 21-year-old man, was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

OPP said a southbound SUV collided with a northbound sedan, but the cause of the collision is still under investigation.

“We haven’t ruled out whether speed or road conditions were a factor and there’s nothing in our investigation at this point that makes us believe that alcohol or drugs played a factor,” said Const. Josh Cunningham.
