Loyalist Township election results 2018

According to unofficial results, former deputy mayor Ric Bresee was elected mayor for Loyalist Township. Bresee, who won over 50 per cent of the vote, has been deputy mayor for two terms, and altogether he has spent 18 years on council. With the current Mayor Bill Lowry stepping down from the Township’s top spot, Bresee had the most political recognition of the three mayoral candidates. Lorna Willis came in second, with over 30 per cent of the vote.
