Residents in Winnipeg’s South end reported sounds of an explosion in the neighbourhood just after 10 p.m. Thursday night.
The City of Winnipeg told 680 CJOB the noise from a houseboat and trailer catching fire.
A woman on Lee Boulevard told Global News she heard the noise and felt her house shake.
Many emergency vehicles were seen racing along Kenaston Boulevard to follow the loud sound to the 300 block of Cadboro Rd.
Once on the scene, fire crews said they found a houseboat and trailer engulfed in flames.
The crew said the address did not have fire hydrants, so emergency personnel was forced to shuttle water with tankers.
There are no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
