I'm halfway through Gut gegen Nordwind, a popular novel by
the Austrian writer Daniel Glattauer, and while I'm pleased that my
rusty German is still decent enough to grant me linguistic access to
this book, which I'm quite enjoying, the storyline makes me a little
uncomfortable. A little confused. About the complexity of human
relationships. About the blurred division between friendship and
love, faithfulness and betrayal.
