Two men arrested in connection to Grande Prairie shooting that sent one man to hospital

Two men have arrested following a shooting in Grande Prairie on Thursday.

According to police, at least two men were involved in an altercation near 92 Street and 100 Avenue when one of them was shot around 5:51 p.m.

The man who was shot attempted to drive away but crashed his truck into a nearby business.

RCMP said the suspects fled in a separate vehicle but were later located at a home in Trumpeter Village.

Two 26-year-old men were arrested without incident and remain in police custody.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public.

Grande Prairie RCMP and Grande Prairie general investigation section are investigating the shooting.
