Police respond to shots fired in northeast Calgary Monday

Calgary police are investigating after a report of gunshots on Pineland Close N.E. Monday night – Sep 25, 2018

Police are investigating after a person was targeted with gunfire in a northeast Calgary neighbourhood Monday night.

At around 10:25 p.m. police said they responded to a report of gunfire in the 100 block of Pineland Close N.E.

Police said both the suspect and the intended target had been in the same vehicle at one point.

The suspect got out of the vehicle and fired at the other person in the vehicle, police said.

Police said nobody was injured in the incident and police searched the area to make sure there weren’t additional victims.

The targeted person is not co-operating with police and no arrests have been made, investigators said.

Police said the shooting was not a random shooting.
