The entire building was evacuated and all of the occupants made it out safely.

The cause is under investigation but officials say the blaze started in a bedroom of the second floor unit.

Meantime, Vernon fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed two sheds on Scott Road – across from the Vernon airport.

The structures were fully engulfed when firefighters arrived early Monday morning.
