Air quality advisory lifted for Edmonton area

The advisory was put in place on Thursday due to “air quality deterioration associated with a temporary air-inversion event,” according to AHS.

Officials say they’ve been monitoring the air quality over the past few days and the air quality is no longer being impacted by that air-inversion event.

AHS says the air quality in and around Edmonton may fluctuate over the next several days as weather patterns change. Area residents are being encouraged to continue to monitor the air quality conditions.

Information about the air quality in the Edmonton area can be found on the Alberta Environment Air Quality Website.
