Traffic was backed up on the Coquihalla Highway this afternoon because of an accident near Exit 250.

Workers recover a crashed semi in the northbound lanes of the Coquihalla near Exit 250, approximately 35 kilometres south of Merritt. Submitted

The incident involved a semi-trailer truck, and the ensuing vehicle recovery closed the northbound lanes.
