A vehicle was deliberately crashed into a grocery store in Sherwood Park early Wednesday morning, causing some significant damage.
Strathcona County RCMP said that around 5:10 a.m., police responded to reports of a vehicle purposefully driving into the Safeway entrance located on Sherwood Drive.
The vehicle then drove away and was last seen travelling east on Granada Boulevard. Mounties found the vehicle abandoned about four kilometres away from the grocery store on Hummingbird Road. Police determined the vehicle was stolen the previous night in Sherwood Park.

There was significant damage to the entrance of the store. The vehicle smashed several windows at the Safeway, where staff was seen sweeping up the broken glass.
