2 men charged after police seize drugs, cash from home in Huntsville

Two men are facing charges after police seized drugs and cash from a home in Huntsville.

According to the Huntsville OPP, on Aug. 15, officers conducted a search warrant at a residence on Main Street West in the town.

Police say, as a result, over $8,000 worth of drugs including cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and prescription pills were seized.

Officers also seized more than $2,400 in cash.

Two men are now facing charges.

Police say 31-year-old Pierre Oliver Ellis from Scarborough has been charged with several drug-related charges including three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

According to police, 30-year-old Richard Daniel Firth from Huntsville has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with undertaking.

Police say the men were held in custody for a bail hearing in Bracebridge on Wednesday.
