ManyFest-goers this year will be able to grab a craft beer and wander through a carefully curated artisan market before trying to decide what to eat from more than 40 food trucks.
The yearly celebration of all things awesome is happening once again on Broadway and Memorial Boulevard from Sept. 7-9.
New this year is an artisan market run by Third + Bird, which has run several artisan markets in the city, including one at The Bay last November.
In addition, Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. will run what’s being called the Lakeside Lounge. Most of the ManyFest site will be licenced, meaning people can take their alcohol through the market and through the food truck area.
Food Truck Wars returns, this year featuring more than 40 food trucks, said the Downtown BIZ. People will vote for Best Presentation, Best Bang for Your Buck, Most Original and People’s Choice. The trucks will line an entire block of Memorial Boulevard from Broadway to York Avenue.
Other events include live music, a CFL Banjo Bowl After Party, MiniFest Family Zone, Indigenous Learning Circle teepees, a Friday night electric Donkey Run, MEVAfest and a Sunday 10K run.
This year, True North Sports & Entertainment is helping plan and run ManyFest in conjunction with the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.
