Guilty plea in 2010 murder of sex trade worker in Surrey

Today in court Dustin Lalonde plead guilty to second degree murder of 41-year-old sex trade worker Teri-Lyn Williams.

Williams’s body was found in a bushy area at the 13600 block of 104A Avenue in Surrey on June 9, 2010. Several months following her murder, the 29-year-old Lalonde surfaced as a suspect and was charged for the killing.

“The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is pleased to see this investigation end with a guilty plea and the closure it brings to those who cared for Teri-Lyn.” said Corporal Adam MacIntosh of IHIT.

Sentencing for Lalonde is set for May 31 in the New Westminster Supreme Court.
