Homicide investigators say they’ve found a vehicle believed to be linked to a fatal stabbing.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said Burnaby RCMP was called to a car fire in the 9000-block of Ashgrove Crescent near SFU about 2 a.m. on Friday morning.
Investigation revealed it to be the missing 2017 Jeep Trail Hawk that belonged to Leonard Ngo, a 20-year-old man who was fatally stabbed at a Surrey townhouse complex on Monday afternoon.
IHIT said the Surrey RCMP responded to 152 Street and 108 Avenue round 4:30 p.m.
They found one man suffering from stab wounds, who was then taken to hospital in stable condition.
Ngo later arrived at the hospital where he died.
