An officer in Victoria has been found to have used excessive force in another arrest caught on tape.

Three years ago, officers were called to a fight outside a Victoria nightclub.

They arrested Tyler Archer, the man seen on the ground in the video.

After a series of investigations, a public hearing was ordered by B.C.’s police complaint commissioner.

It found Constable Chris Bowser used unnecessary force and abused his authority during the arrest.

Bowser will now face disciplinary action that could range from docked pay to dismissal.

The force has the choice to appeal the decision.
