Lightning strikes highway as early morning storms roll through Sask.

Thunderstorms started to roll into Saskatchewan from Alberta at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, the storm cells intensified and more developed as they tracked east across the province.

Thunderstorm activity continued to roll through Saskatchewan in the early morning.

Greg Trytten captured the video below in slow motion as he was heading to work near Tyvan, Sask on Thursday morning.

The City of Regina also shook from loud thunder around 3 a.m. Thursday.

A spectacular lightning show was captured by the Global News city camera.

Numerous people took advantage of the electric skies and pulled out their cameras to get some spectacular shots around Saskatchewan.
