Winnipeg police seized more than 40 grams of meth after a car chase Friday morning.
On July 27 at about 10:15 a.m., police spotted a stolen Cadillac Escalade on Furby Street.

When the driver noticed police coming from the south with their lights and sirens activated, they drove up on a boulevard and continued driving south at more than 100 km/hr on the sidewalk, said police.
Between Sargent Avenue and Ellice Avenue, the SUV slammed into six fences and narrowly missed a 25-year-old woman.
The vehicle eventually crashed head-on into an apartment building at the intersection of Ellice Avenue and Furby Street.
The driver of the stolen SUV then tried to escape on foot, but was taken into custody after a short chase.

Police later searched the vehicle and found two bags containing about 45 grams of methamphetamine, and two cell phones.
Justin Raymond Wiszniowski was arrested and faces a number of drug related offences, including theft of a motor vehicle.
