A stretch of Highway 1 eastbound in Langley was closed Saturday morning after a multi-vehicle crash that sent at least one person to hospital.
RCMP said the crash happened just after 6 a.m. right before the 200th Street off-ramp. Initial reports said the crash involved a SUV that collided with a tractor trailer that had broken down on the side of the road.

Debris was seen littered across the road at the scene. The SUV appeared to be completely destroyed.
Police initially said they were investigating a fatal crash, but later provided an update saying the driver of the SUV had been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash forced all eastbound lanes of the highway to shut down between 192nd and 200th for hours as crews investigated, causing serious delays for people heading out of Metro Vancouver.
The eastbound lanes finally reopened just before 9:30, but the off-ramp remained closed. The off-ramp was reopened less than an hour later.
