Norfolk OPP is investigating a fatal crash at a residence in North Walsingham, near Tillsonburg and say charges are pending.

Police were called to a crash on McDowell Road West involving a pickup truck and SUV just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the police investigation, a white SUV heading eastbound was attempting to turn northbound into a driveway when a white pickup truck also heading eastbound tried to overtake several vehicles, smashing into the SUV and causing both vehicles to enter the north ditch.

The driver of the SUV, 25-year-old Maria Klassen of Norfolk County, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 26-year-old Abram Enns Klassen of Norfolk County, was air-lifted to a Hamilton-area hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since died in hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 23-year-old Norfolk County man, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing but police confirm speed is considered a contributing factor.
