To honour the victims of Sunday’s shooting on Danforth Avenue in Toronto, the Cambridge sign and pedestrian bridge were lit blue and white Tuesday night.
Ten-year-old Julianna Kozis and 18-year-old Reese Fallon lost their lives Sunday night when Faisal Hussain opened fire on people along Danforth Avenue in Toronto. Thirteen others were also injured in the shooting and the gunman was found dead nearby.

The area where the shooting occurred has been heavily populated by Greek immigrants and is known as “Greektown.” Blue and white are the colours of the Greek national flag.
Over the past several days, tributes have poured in on Twitter from across the Waterloo region, including from Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig, who spoke of how senseless the news was from one of Toronto’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic sent his “thoughts and prayers” to the victims while also thanking the first responders.
Kitchener Centre MP Raj Saini mentioned how we need to “help one another during this difficult time.”
Waterloo Police spoke of how their Toronto cousins “bravely responded to the senseless tragedy.”
Waterloo fire passed along their “deepest prayers” to the victims.
Waterloo Paramedics said they stand together with the “victims, family, friends and first responders impacted” by the shooting on Danforth Avenue in Toronto.
