Prince Albert man points gun, utters threats after altercation: police

Prince Albert police have a man in custody after another man was allegedly threatened with a handgun.

Police were told the man entered a home in the 600 block of 7 Street East on Monday morning, and became involved in an altercation with another man.

The suspect then allegedly threatened the man with a handgun before leaving the home.

Officers caught up with the suspect as he was walking on 7 Street East. He was arrested after trying to flee.

Police recovered a firearm nearby.

The 30-year-old Prince Albert man is facing a number of charges including pointing a firearm, assault, and uttering a death threat.

He is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Prince Albert provincial court.
