60-year-old St. Thomas man charged in Hamilton Road bank robbery

London police say no one was hurt and a 60-year-old St. Thomas man is facing charges in connection to a mid-afternoon bank robbery on Monday.

According to police, a man entered a bank at 950 Hamilton Road at 2:15 p.m. and demanded money from the employee.

No weapon was seen during the robbery and no one was physically injured.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money but was located a short distance away in a vehicle bearing stolen licence plates, police said.

A 60-year-old St. Thomas man is facing a charge of robbery and possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused appeared in court on Tuesday.
