An RCMP raid last summer put a dent in the alleged ‘illegal’ activities of the Cycle Logic Auto and Motorcycle shop in West Kelowna. Now, the District of West Kelowna is moving to shut down their business operations entirely.

It’s alleged the business was involved in stealing vehicles and modifying their identification numbers in order to sell them. Police say $750,000 of stolen property was recovered.

Along with owner John Newcome facing 22 theft-related charges, it’s also alleged the business has ties to organized crime, including the Hells Angels.

In response to the RCMP’s findings, the West Kelowna city council has voted to cancel Cycle Logic’s business licence.

Mayor, Doug Findlater, says based on what they heard from RCMP about the company’s alleged illegal activities, council has voted unanimously that it wasn’t the type of operation they want in their community.

The people at Cycle Logic are not commenting but the business has apparently been sold.
