OPP have recovered the body of a City of Kawartha Lakes boater following a search on Georgian Bay on the weekend.
West Parry OPP responded around noon Friday to a report of a boat turning in circles with no one it in The Archipelago Township in Parry Sound.
The OPP’s marine unit launched a search with assistance from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, Canadian Coast Guard and provincial park staff.
Later, the OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit was called to the scene.
On Saturday, police confirmed the man’s body was recovered.
The victim has been identified as Ram Thirugnanasundram, 42, of the former Manvers Township in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
