WestJet guests heading from Calgary to Saskatoon experienced an unexpected delay during their flight on Thursday.
A WestJet passenger plane bound for Saskatoon was forced to turn back to Calgary and make an emergency landing due to tire damage, WestJet said.
According to a WestJet spokesperson, the tire was damaged during takeoff and the flight quickly turned back. It landed safely at YYC Calgary International Airport shortly after.
The Calgary Fire Department said no injuries were reported.

Due to the tire damage, the plane was unable to taxi to the gate and passengers had to disembark on the tarmac.
The 78 guests took a bus to the terminal where WestJet said a new aircraft would take them to Saskatoon.
