The second incident happened two days later in the same community. Police say a man allegedly broke into a liquor store and stole several bottles of alcohol.

Officers later learned the men were inside a home in the Weymouth Mills area.

“The men barricaded themselves in the home,” the RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.

Officers called in a negotiation team as a result, and after several hours, the three men were eventually arrested.

All three remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Digby provincial court on Thursday.

Police believe the incidents are connected, and the suspects are all known to each other.
