A 65-year-old man is dead after a collision with a truck on Tuesday morning.
Montreal police received multiple calls around 9:15 a.m. about the incident, on the corner of London Avenue and Gouin Boulevard in Montreal North.
“The truck driver did not see the pedestrian,” explained Andrée-Anne Picard, a spokesperson with Montreal police.
“The truck hit the pedestrian and he dragged him a few metres before he realized he was in a collision with the pedestrian.”

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness, as well as the truck driver, were treated for shock.
Investigators are at the scene to figure out what happened leading up to the accident.
Traffic has since reopened in the area.
Gouin Boulevard was closed in both directions, between Paris and Récollets avenues, and London Avenue was closed from Gouin Boulevard to Henri-Bourassa Boulevard East.
