Nova Scotia approves payroll rebate for company specializing in data breach prevention

Nova Scotia has approved a payroll rebate for BeyondTrust, a cybersecurity company that focuses on data breach prevention.

BeyondTrust could potentially create up to a maximum of 150 jobs under the agreement which is set to last five-years, Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) said Tuesday.

NSBI estimates that the company could spend nearly $38 million in salaries over the rebate period.

If the company creates fewer than 150 new jobs, it will eligible for a smaller rebate.
