WINNIPEG — Looking for some new places to dine out this season? The West End BIZ hosts an annual series of restaurant tours every summer.
Around the World in a Few Blocks gives participants the chance to try international cuisines right here in Winnipeg, said Development Coordinator Joseph Kornelsen.

The weekly event includes stops at three restaurants with a guided walking tour in between. Attendees can learn about the history of Winnipeg’s west end neighbourhoods while discovering new food they otherwise might not try.

“It’s not just about the cuisine,” Kornelsen said.

West End BIZ also works with local bakers and chocolatiers to bring their guests a sweet treat for dessert at the end of their meal.
Kornelsen said the range of food can include Filipino, Latin American, Ethiopian, and everything in between.
“It’s a phenomenal mixture of different cooking traditions”, said Kornelsen.
With different restaurants every week, Kornelsen suggested there is always something new to be discovered.
