After a stormy start to the week with heavy rain hit parts of eastern Saskatchewan on Wednesday, much calmer and sunnier conditions have rolled in for the rest of the week.

Pure blue skies and sunshine rolled back in to start the day as temperatures slipped back into single digits before pumping back up into the low 20s mid-morning.

Thursday Night

High pressure will keep skies clear through the evening as we cool back into low double digits overnight.

Friday

The heart of the heat will be reached on Friday as a big upper ridge of high pressure boosts temperatures up to around 34 degrees by afternoon.

Mostly sunny skies will stick around through the day and because of the rain earlier this week, it’ll be moist enough to make it feel like the low 40s with humidity, so be sure to remain hydrated and limit time outside during the day.

Weekend

A cold front sweeping through Saskatchewan will bring in some clouds and the risk of a thunderstorm on Saturday before mostly sunny skies return on Sunday.

Ahead of the front a strong southwesterly wind could gust up to 60 km/h on Saturday, which will help warm us toward the 30s before we fall back into the mid-20s for an afternoon high on Sunday.

Strong southwesterly winds will roll in on Saturday ahead of a cold front pushing in.
