With the heat wave hitting southern Ontario, a Guelph man seemingly went to the extreme to try and cool off over the Canada Day long weekend.
Guelph police were called to a fountain at Wyndham and Quebec streets at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday for reports of a man bathing in the water.
Police said the man was warned by responding officers and sent on his way.

It’s alleged the man returned to the fountain at around 8:30 a.m. and was caught swimming naked.
“The male was asked to exit the fountain and proceeded to stand up, exposing himself,” police said in a news release on Tuesday. “The male was cautioned again and sent on his way.”
