Worker trapped after concrete wall collapses at farm north of Port Hope

A construction worker has suffered serious injuries after a concrete wall collapsed at a farm north of Port Hope, Ont., on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency officials were called around 2:15 p.m. to a farmhouse in the area of Dodds Road off of County Road 10, just north of the community of Welcome.

There are reports the individual was trapped.

Northumberland OPP say that employees with a construction company were repairing a home at the time when part of the building collapsed.

The injured worker was flown to a Toronto-area trauma centre by an ORNGE air ambulance.
