A 26-year-old Orillia man is facing charges in connection with several break-ins in Oro-Medonte.
According to Barrie OPP, on June 13, officers were called to a residence on Line 15 after receiving a report of a theft.
Police say through investigative work, they were able to identify the suspect as 26-year-old Richard Asselstine from Orillia. Officers arrested Asselstine on June 22.

According to police, Asselstine was also linked to several other incidents in the area including several mischiefs and a stolen vehicle. Police say all of the incidents occurred on or around June 13.
Police say Asselstine is now facing several charges including six counts of trespassing at night, two counts of mischief under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.

According to police, Asselstine was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on July 3.
