There has been an attempted robbery at Barry’s Jewellers in Hamilton.
Police say shortly before 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, two suspects with their identities concealed, attempted to gain entry to the business on Upper James Street.
One of the suspects was brandishing a weapon, but they both failed to gain entry and were last seen walking northbound.
Suspect 1 was described as approximately 5’10, thin to medium build, wearing a dark construction style winter jacket with reflective stripes, dark baggy pants, shoes, hoodie, and a hat. Suspect 1 was also wearing a mask covering his face, gloves and was brandishing a weapon.
Suspect 2 was described as approximately 5’10, thin to medium build, wearing a dark winter jacket, with dark hood pulled up, and a black baseball cap. Suspect 2 was wearing black skinny legged pants, a mask covering his face, gloves, dark shoes, carrying a dark back pack.
