Toronto police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle — possibly more than once — in midtown Saturday.
Officers said they were called to the area of Eglinton Avenue West and Castle Knock Road (near Avenue Road) at around 1 p.m. after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck.
When they arrived on scene police said they found the victim without vital signs, trapped underneath the vehicle.

A witness later told Global News they believe the man may have been intentionally lying on the street when he was struck.
Paramedics said they transported a man to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.
Police said the driver remained on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
