Peel police identify 21-year-old man fatally shot in Brampton

Peel police have identified the 21-year-old man fatally shot in Brampton early Thursday as Brandon Hall.

Peel Regional Police said they received a call just before 5 a.m. Thursday at a residence on Martree Crescent near Bovaird Drive and Kennedy Road.

Police said the male victim, who was found inside the home, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There’s no immediate word on any suspects.

The police K-9 unit was seen searching the backyard of a residence Thursday morning.

Authorities are asking anyone in the neighbourhood with surveillance video or witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.

Anyone with information relating to this investigation is asked to call investigators at the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205 or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The incident marks Peel’s 13th homicide of 2018.
