Dave Hunt’s $50,000 Harley isn’t exactly quiet, but Hunt maintains the stock bike has always measured well within the allowable decibel limits.

Recently police issued him a notice and order, which required him to get the bike inspected. He did so, but instead of taking the bike to Trev Deeley, as the officer requested, he went elsewhere. The Harley passed. Then he was pulled over again by the same officer.

“He asked to see my paperwork, I showed him the report, I showed him the sticker, he said it was unacceptable to him, asked me why I didn’t get it done at Trev Deeley,” said Hunt. “I explained to him that Trev Deeley couldn’t take me right away and basically it was half price.”

Sgt. Randy Fincham with the Vancouver Police said as far as he knows, Trev Deeley is the only qualified Harley dealership in the City of Vancouver to do those noise level inspections.
